Curriculum Corner – Two Science Options

Here are some of the past subjects covered:

There are so many amazing resources available to homeschooling families! In a previous Monday Message, we provided many wonderful science options for your budding scientist. We would like to share some additional science choices for your family.

Interactive Science
Grades 1-8
Learning Styles: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic

Interactive Science by Pearson is an excellent science program at a reasonable price. Interactive Science includes a colorful text with questions interwoven throughout the text so that your child is able to interact with the lessons. The online resources include additional activities and videos to supplement the lessons. It is recommended that you purchase the bundles with the student text and teacher’s edition to get complete access to the curriculum and online portal.

Science for High School
Grades 9-12
Learning Styles: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic

Science for High School offers a biology, physical science and chemistry program. These programs focus on inquiry and finding answers using the textbook, internet and library books. It also includes one lab per week with a lab box that includes most of the materials needed to complete the labs. Quizzes and exams are also available to track your child’s progress. The science programs were designed by a homeschool family with a homeschool learner in mind.
