About Susie

Susie is excited to be a part of the iLEAD team, as it gives her the opportunity to use her experiences with both public education and homeschooling to encourage others. Born and raised in southern California, Susie received her multiple subject teaching credential along with her bachelor’s of science degree in child development from Cal State Fullerton. She has 25 years of cumulative teaching experience ranging from kindergarten thru high school.

Susie is a mother of four who has homeschooled all of her children. She considers it a great privilege to have been able to tailor her children’s education according to their personalities and passions. Susie is also married to an educator, which has given their family opportunities to travel and explore our beautiful country. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, mentoring teen girls, reading, photography, speed walking, and paddle-boarding at the beach.
