About Karlyn

Karlyn Johnson is a school counselor on the student support team for iLEAD. She received her master’s degree in Educational Counseling and is a licensed LPCC therapist for the state of California. She has worked in education for over 20 years, specifically with at-risk teens and students with disabilities. She loves working with learners, families and facilitators. She especially relishes observing the progress of her learners and loves being their cheerleader for positive change.

Karlyn was born and raised in Arizona. She moved to So-Cal as a newlywed and has never looked back. She has 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and a beloved Blue Dobie. In her spare time, she loves to bike ride, read books, and relax at the beach.
