About Alex

Alex was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and recently moved to Southern California. Alex earned her B.S. and M.S. in Special Education at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia (yes, just like the Facebook game, and yes, it is a real place). Alex is excited to be working with learners and families here at iLEAD. She enjoys the creativity and flexibility that the virtual setting has to offer learners. Alex’s goal is to help equip high schoolers with the tools they need to be successful as they transition into adulthood.

In her free time Alex enjoys sitting on the beach with a great book in hand or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. Alex and her husband love to travel and have a goal of visiting all of the National Parks in California.
