About Alison

Alison says it has been a wild, but rewarding ride that has led her to being an educational facilitator. She is so excited to be working with homeschooling families and helping them on their journey. She is a Marine Corps wife and has lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Florida, Okinawa (Japan), and now California. She graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and worked in various science laboratory jobs in the different places they have lived. She switched to teaching science in Florida and has taught science to 6-12 grades in Florida, Okinawa, and California. She has her single subject credential in biology for grades 6-12 in both Florida and California. She loves seeing student’s faces light up when they make a connection and plans on using all her various experiences to connect with families.

Alison has two elementary and middle-school aged children. Her hobbies include volunteering at church, crafting, sewing, bargain shopping, and visiting national parks. Her peaceful place is sitting on a beach.
