About Derek

Born and raised in Virginia, Derek studied and obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and special education at Liberty University. He has worked for around ten years in the classroom and enjoys creating and developing relationships with his learners and parents. His goal as an education specialist is to provide learners with tools that help them succeed academically and in life.

Derek is a father of three to Nora, Amelia, and Levi. He loves to travel and experience new challenges. His favorite activity away from the learning environment is photography and graphic design.
