About Genie

Genie was born and raised in Rosamond, California and now lives in Colorado. She has been a Special Education Teacher (Education Specialist) for six years. She has taught in both mild/moderate and moderate/severe settings. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language at St. Catherine University in Minnesota and her Master’s Degree in Teaching at Brandman University in California. She has a passion for teaching and supporting her students as well as advocating for her students and their families. This is Genie’s first year with iLead. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her significant other and her four fur babies (three cats and one dog). She also enjoys being outdoors (hiking, kayaking, boating, etc.) and completing Disney puzzles.
