About Julie

Julie was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She studied and obtained a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education at Liberty University. She also completed her master’s degree in education as a reading specialist. After graduating from Liberty, she spent the next five years serving at a mission school on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona. Julie worked as a second grade teacher for two years and then started a special education/reading intervention program. Upon moving back to Pennsylvania, she worked in public and private schools teaching elementary students.

In her free time, Julie loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys playing games, taking walks, shopping at thrift stores, watching Hallmark movies, and eating popcorn.

Julie is excited to join the iLEAD Exploration team. She is passionate about connecting with children and partnering with families to meet the needs of all learners.
