About Shawna

Shawna grew up in Orange County, CA where she was homeschooled from preschool to her senior year of high school. She ventured to the Midwest for college. As an undergrad at Oral Roberts University, she triple majored in English, History, and French. After college, she spent some time working on beautiful Catalina Island and then in the mountains of Southern California before finally landing in Riverside, where she earned a master’s degree in education from California Baptist University. She was a middle school English teacher for 9 years before joining the iLEAD team. She loved being a classroom teacher and she’s super excited to begin supporting learners in her new role as an Educational Facilitator. She has a great love of learning and hopes to inspire others to love it too. Shawna loves to cook, is obsessed with books, and plays drums at her church. She also loves to spend time with her husband and three adorable little boys.
